Who can approve a document and how?
A document has to be approved, so that it could be activated. People who can approve the document are specified on the document edit sreen as shown below
When a document is created:
Save & View the document if you need to make some other changes later. The document stays as a draft
Save & Send for Approval if no changes are to be made
The approvers receive an email notification to approve the document
The approvers approve, disapprove the document, or return it to the in-process status.
If you open the document, you can see who approved it and whose document is pending
Once the document is approved by all the approvers, its status changes to Approved and the document becomes Active
