What is user verification and how does it work?
The user verification process is a routine check to ensure that an individual is still affiliated with your company. This process is designed to maintain system security and accuracy. Users are required to undergo verification periodically, typically every year, although this interval can be adjusted as necessary. To complete the verification successfully, users must have a valid email address listed in their profile.
User verification involves the following steps:
- Upon logging into your TG instance, you will receive a notification stating "Verification required."
- Click the "Send Verification Code“ button. Verification code will be sent to your email.
- In your notification email, you can either click on the "Verification Link" or copy the “Verification code” and enter it into the "Verify & Log me in" field.
- You can also complete your verification later. If you choose this option, please ensure you complete the verification promptly. Failure to do so will result in the system automatically logging you out and blocking your account.
- If you delay the verification process, a red lock icon will appear in the top banner. Clicking on it will display the remaining time before your account gets blocked and provide an option to enter the verification code. You can also request the code to be resent.
- Administrators have the ability to monitor user verification status conveniently through the filtering options available in their User Management section.
There are following icons in “Verified” column:
- A green tick means that the verification was completed successfully.
- Sandglass means that the user will be verified at the next login, or the verification process is ongoing.
- A red dot means that verification has failed.
